Q: How much does it cost?

A: The Spring Promotion session fee is $175 +HST. This fee includes a studio mini session, use of costumes, wings, and props, PLUS a complimentary 8x10" print. Session fees must be paid immediately to confirm your timeslot. Additional prints, digitals packages and wall art are sold separately.

Q: Is there a session fee discount for siblings?

A: Yes! Additional siblings receive a 50% discount on their session fee. Please book two back-to-back timeslots and your discount amount will be credited towards your print order, or contact me directly by email suzanne@sweetpeaphoto.ca (be sure to mention both names & ages when sending your email inquiry) or call 613-322-2223 to arrange.

Q: Is 10 years the maximum age that can participate?

A: Our costumes go up to size 13, so as long as one of the gowns fit, ages 11-13 can certainly participate!

Q: Are any photos/digitals/prints included in the session fee?

A: Yes, there is one 8x10" art print of your choosing. Additional prints, digitals packages and wall art are all sold separately. Prints start at $75 and digital packages start at $475 (taxes extra).

Q: Do you offer payment plans for print orders?

A: Yes we offer interest-free payment plans on all orders. Payments can be made by credit card or e-transfer. The maximum term for the payment plan is 12 months.

Q: Do you offer refunds if I can't make it?

A: Session fees are non-refundable, though they may be transferred to another family or retained as a credit for a future promotion. If illness arises, please notify us as soon as possible and we will make every effort to accommodate a new date or apply your session fee toward a future experience. Missed appointments without notice will result in forfeiture of the session fee.

Q: What are the dates for these promotions?

A: Saturday, May 30th and Sunday, May 31st 2026!

For those who can't make it that weekend, there will be a limited availability until Thursday June 4th.

Q: Where is your studio located?

A: Our beautiful commercial studio is located in the south end of Ottawa, near Findlay Creek.

Q: What ages are these promotions suitable for?

A: This experience is thoughtfully designed for children ages 4–10. Due to the delicate nature of our wardrobe and props, we’re unable to accommodate children under 4. For those ages 10–12 who feel drawn to the experience, we invite you to visit the studio for a brief consultation to try on select gowns and ensure the perfect fit before booking.

Q: Are costumes provided?

A: YES! For A Fairy Tale, we have several styles of beautiful fairy dresses/gowns in various sizes (4-13) as well as beautiful wings. New designs have been added to this year's collection!

Q: Can my child bring her own wings and/or costume?

A: To maintain the signature look and artistic style of the experience, all costumes and wings are provided and custom designed for our studio.

Q: How long is the session?

A: Timeslots are booked every 30 minutes, but the session will take about 20 minutes. This gives you time to get your little one dressed and for some final primping (although we do recommend having hairstyles ready before you arrive). Preparation tips for the photoshoot will be emailed to you.

Q: Can parents be present in the studio during the session?

A: We ask only parents or guardians be present and that ONLY the child(ren) that are participating in the session be present.

Q: Can I take photos with my phone or camera?

A: To preserve the magical experience and ensure the highest quality imagery, personal photography and phone photos are not permitted during the session.

Q: What time should we be there?

A: Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled timeslot. If you are late, we cannot accommodate extra time (due to the busy schedule).

Q: When/How will I see the proofs?

A: Approximately 2-3 weeks after the session takes place, we will send out a booking calendar to schedule your Viewing & Ordering session (in studio). Please bring all decision makers (grandparents are welcome to come too!) to the appointment. Viewings last around one hour and will be available Mondays & Fridays (daytime & evening) as well as Saturday afternoons.

Q: Do you provide online galleries?

A: Proofs are available for viewing in studio. Come see your child's beautiful portraits bigger than life on our projection wall! Exceptions can be made for our out-of-town clients.

Q: My child has bruises on her knee. Can this be retouched?

A: Absolutely! All final images are fully retouched. Bruises & booboo's will be magically erased!

Q: Is A Fairy Tale just for girls?

A: Although we do not have "traditional" male costumes for A Fairy Tale, any child who wants to wear one of our gowns is more than welcome!

We are also expanding our costume options in the future to include alternatives to gowns.

Q: Is there a different promotion for boys?

A: Yes! Our Enchanted Forest: Gone Fishin’ experience will take place on Saturday, June 6th (the weekend AFTER our Enchanted Fairy promotion) and is designed for children ages 5–9, featuring a rustic outdoor-inspired setting with thoughtfully curated wardrobe and props. Click below for more info:
