Q: How do I book?

A: There are 3 ways to book: The best and easiest way to book is to do so directly online on our online booking calendar (by clicking on the "BOOK NOW" button on the Fairy Portraits page); you may also email Suzanne at suzanne@sweetpeaphoto.ca with your child's name & age and stating your date/time preference; OR call us directly at 613-322-2223.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: The session fee is $99 +HST. This fee includes a studio mini session, use of costumes/wings/props. Prints, digitals packages and wall art are sold separately. Session fees must be paid immediately to confirm your timeslot. Interest-free payment plans are available for all print orders.

Q: Is there a session fee discount for siblings?

A: Yes! Additional siblings receive a 50% discount on their session fee (i.e. first child=$99, each additional child=$49.50). Please book back-to-back timeslots and your discount amount will be credited towards your print order, or contact me directly by email suzanne@sweetpeaphoto.ca (be sure to mention both names & ages when sending your email inquiry) or call 613-322-2223 to arrange.

Q: Are any photos/digitals/prints included in the session fee?

A: No. Prints, digitals packages and wall art are all sold separately. Prints start at $75 and digital packages start at $675 (taxes extra). Please note we offer flexible, interest-free payment plans for all print orders.

Q: Do you offer payment plans for print orders?

A: YES! We offer interest-free payment plans on all orders. Payments can be made by cash, email transfer or credit card. The maximum term for the payment plan is 12 months.

Q: How do I pay?

A: You can pay directly online by credit card when you select your timeslot. Appointments cannot be confirmed or saved until payment is received. We accept all major credit cards. If you prefer to pay by email transfer, please email your information (name & age of child plus preferred date/time for session) and payment to suzanne@sweetpeaphoto.ca .

Q: Do you offer refunds if I can't make it?

A: Session fees are non-refundable but can be kept on file until next year's promotion OR it can be transferable to another family should you be unable to keep your appointment. In case of illness, please contact us immediately and we will try to accommodate a new date during the week following the promotion or credit your account until the next promotion takes place.

Q: What are the dates for these promotions?

A: Fairy Tale will take place on Saturday May 25th and Sunday May 26th, 2024 and won't be back until Spring 2025.

Q: Where is your studio located?

A: Our beautiful commercial studio is located in the south end of Ottawa, near Findlay Creek.

Q: What ages are these promotions suitable for?

A: This promotion is suitable for ages 4-9 (although we have accommodated 10 & 11 yr olds too in the past). Because of the delicate props and costumes, we cannot accommodate children under 4 years of age.

Q: Are costumes provided?

A: YES! For A Fairy Tale, we have several styles of beautiful fairy dresses/gowns in various sizes as well as beautiful wings. New designs have been added to this year's collection!

Q: Can my child bring her own wings and/or costume?

A: To keep our vision and our art consistent, we insist on providing the costumes and wings (which are custom made).

Q: How long is the session?

A: Timeslots are booked every 30 minutes, but the session will take about 15-20 minutes. This gives you time to get your little one dressed and for some final primping (although we do recommend having hairstyles ready before you arrive). Preparation tips for the photoshoot will be emailed to you.

Q: Can parents be present in the studio during the session?

A: We ask only parents or guardians be present and that ONLY the child(ren) that are participating in the session be present.

Q: Can I take photos with my phone or camera?

A: Taking photos with phones or your own camera are strictly prohibited.

Q: What time should we be there?

A: Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled timeslot. If you are late, we cannot accommodate extra time (due to the busy schedule).

Q: Is A Fairy Tale just for girls?

A: Although we do not have "traditional" male costumes for A Fairy Tale, any child who wants to wear one of our gowns is more than welcome!

Q: Is there a promotion for boys?

A: Yes! On Saturday May 18th, 2024, we're holding our Enchanted Forest: Gone Fishin' promotion for boys & girls (ages 5-9).

Q: When/How will I see the proofs?

A: Approximately two weeks after the promotional weekend takes place, we will send out a link to the booking calendar to schedule your Viewing & Ordering session in studio. Please bring all decision makers (grandparents are welcome to come too!) to the appointment. Appointments will be approximately one hour and will be available Monday to Friday during the daytime & evening (some Saturday afternoons may be available).

Q: Do you provide online galleries?

A: Proofs are available for viewing in studio. Come see your child's beautiful portraits bigger than life on our projection wall!

Q: My child has bruises on her knee. Can this be retouched?

A: Absolutely! All final images are fully retouched. Bruises & booboo's will be magically erased!
