Q: How do I book?

Q: How much does it cost?

A: The session fee is $99 +HST. This fee includes a studio mini session and the use of costumes, fairy wings and props. Session fees must be paid when booking a timeslot. Digital files packages, prints, and other products products are sold separately. Prints start at $75 each and digital packages start at $675 +HST. Interest-free payment plans are available for all print orders.

Q: Is there a discount for siblings?

A: Yes! Additional siblings receive a 50% discount on their session fee. Please contact me directly by email suzanne@sweetpeaphoto.ca or call 613-322-2223 to secure two timeslots and be sure to mention both names & ages when sending your booking inquiry.

Q: How do I pay?

A: You can pay directly online by credit card when you select your timeslot. Appointments cannot be confirmed or saved until payment is received.

Q: Do you offer refunds if I can't make it?

A: Session fees are non-refundable but can be kept on file until next year's promotion OR it can be transferable to another family should you be unable to keep your appointment. In case of illness, please contact us immediately and we will try to accommodate a new date during the week following the promotion or credit your account until the next promotion takes place.

Q: What are the dates for these promotions?

A: The Fairy Tale promotion will take place the weekend of May 25-26, 2024 and won't be back until Spring 2025.

Q: What if I can't make it that weekend?

A: There will be additional weekday/evening spots available between Monday May 27th-31st. Otherwise you'll have to wait until next year!

Q: Where is your studio located?

A: Our beautiful new commercial studio is located in the south end of Ottawa, near Findlay Creek.

Q: What ages are these promotions suitable for?

A: This promotion is suitable for ages 4-9 (although we have accommodated 10 & 11 yr olds too in the past). Because of the delicate props and costumes, we cannot accommodate children under 4 years of age.

Q: Are costumes provided?

A: YES! For A Fairy Tale, we have 2 styles of fairy dresses in various sizes as well as beautiful handmade wings! No digital wings here!

Q: Can my child bring her own wings and/or costume?

A: To keep our vision and our art consistent, we will provide the costumes and wings (which are custom made).

Q: How long is the session?

A: Timeslots are booked every 30 minutes, but the session will take around 15-20 minutes. Preparation tips for A Fairy Tale will be emailed a week before the promotion.

Q: Can parents be present in the studio during the session?

A: To minimize distractions, we ask that ONLY parents and the child(ren) that are participating in the session be present.

Q: Can parents take photos during the session?

A: No. Taking photos with phones or your own camera is strictly prohibited.

Q: What time should we arrive?

A: Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled timeslot. If you are late, we cannot accommodate extra time (due to the busy schedule).

Q: Is A Fairy Tale just for girls?

A: Although we do not have "traditional" male costumes for A Fairy Tale, any child who likes to wear dresses is more than welcome!

Q: When will I see the proofs?

A: Approximately two weeks after the photoshoot takes place, we will contact you to schedule your Viewing & Ordering appointment at the studio. Please bring all decision makers (grandparents are welcome to come too!) to the appointment. Appointments will be approximately one hour and will be available Monday to Friday during the daytime & evening (some Saturday afternoons will be available).

Q: Do you offer payment plans for print orders?

A: Yes! We offer interest-free payment plans on all orders. Payments can be made by cash, email transfer or credit card. The maximum term for the payment plan is 12 months.

Q: Do you provide online galleries?

A: Proofs are only available for viewing in studio. Come see your child's beautiful portraits bigger than life on our projection wall!

Q: My child has bruises on her knee. Can this be retouched?

A: Absolutely! All final images are fully retouched. Bruises & booboo's will be magically erased!
