Q: How do I book?
A: You can book directly online on our booking calendar OR call us directly at 613-322-2223.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: The session fee is $175 +HST. This fee includes a studio mini session, use of costumes & props. Session fees must be paid immediately to confirm your timeslot.
Q: How do I pay?
A: You can pay directly online by credit card when you select your timeslot. Appointments cannot be confirmed or saved until payment is received. We accept all major credit cards. If you prefer to pay by email transfer, please email your information (name & age of child plus preferred date/time for session) and payment to suzanne@sweetpeaphoto.ca .
Q: Is there a session fee discount for siblings?
A: Yes! Additional siblings receive a 50% discount on their session fee (i.e. first child=$175, each additional child=$87.50). Please book back-to-back timeslots and your discount amount will be credited towards your print order, or contact me directly by email suzanne@sweetpeaphoto.ca to make arrangements (be sure to mention all names & ages when sending your email inquiry).
Q: Do you offer refunds if we can't make it?
A: Session fees are non-refundable OR it can be transferable to another person of your choosing should you be unable to keep your appointment. In case of illness, please contact us immediately and we will try to accommodate a new date during the week following the promotion or credit your account until the next promotion takes place.
Q: Are any photos/digitals/prints included in the session fee?
A: There is one 8x10" print included in the session fee. Additional prints, digitals packages and wall art are all sold separately. Prints start at $75 and digital packages start at $475 (taxes extra). Please note we offer flexible, interest-free payment plans for all print orders.
Q: How do your payment plans for print orders work?
A: We offer interest-free payment plans on all orders. A financial agreement is prepared outlining the agreed-upon payment amounts and due dates. Payments can be made by cash, e-transfer, or credit card. Payment plans are available for up to 12 months.
Q: What is the date for this promotion?
A: Gone Fishin' will take place on Saturday June 6th, 2026 and won't be back until Spring 2027.
Q: Where is your studio located?
A: Our beautiful commercial studio is located in the south end of Ottawa, near Findlay Creek.

Q: What ages are these promotions suitable for?
A: This promotion is suitable for ages 5-9. Because of the delicate props and costumes, we cannot accommodate children under 5 years of age.
Q: Are costumes provided?
A: YES! The costumes consist of blue denim overalls (with white tank tops underneath). Clients who wish to bring their own clothing can do so if they have one of the following: blue denim overalls, shorts or jeans (that can be rolled up). When wearing your own shorts or jeans, pair it with a tank top or tshirt with no graphics or patterns.
Q: How long is the session?
A: Timeslots are booked every 30 minutes, but the session will take about 15-20 minutes.
Q: Can I take photos with my phone or camera?
A: Taking photos with phones or your own camera are strictly prohibited.
Q: What time should we be there?
A: Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled timeslot. If you are late, we cannot accommodate extra time (due to the busy schedule).
Q: Is Gone Fishin' just for boys?
A: Boys AND girls are welcome!
Q: Are there other promotions for boys?
A: STAY TUNED!!!! Our Enchanted Forest: A Fairy Tale promotion will soon have a new costume option added for boys, and for girls who prefer not to wear a gown!
Q: When/How will I see the proofs?
A: Approximately 2-3 weeks after the promotional weekend takes place, we will send out a link to the booking calendar to schedule your Viewing & Ordering session in studio. Please bring all decision makers (grandparents are welcome to come too!) to the appointment. Appointments will be approximately one hour and will be available Monday to Friday during the daytime & evening (some Saturday afternoons may be available).
Q: Do you provide online galleries?
A: Proofs are available for viewing in studio. Come see your child's beautiful portraits bigger than life on our projection wall!
Q: My child has bruises on their knee. Can this be retouched?
A: Absolutely! All final images are fully retouched. Bruises & booboo's will be magically erased!
